Real Impact of NextGen
In this article, written in 2013 by Aviation Impact Reform, the author and reporter determined that communities
would be severely impacted. They
took the FAA to task and the FAA stonewalled them. The key takeaway the FAA refused to
acknowledge was this:
The key change in NextGen is to create very precise routes, which are designed with minimal lateral separation.
Because the objective is to condense all of the fanned traffic into those defined routes, residents under those
thin routes WILL SEE HUGE INCREASES in air traffic, and it will be intense and repetitive.
If this literally sounds familiar, it is because we are now living under the jet superhighways predicted years ago.
